Aston Villa Locks in Emery Until 2029
Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has signed a new five-year contract with the club, following his success in securing a spot in next season’s Champions League. Since arriving in October 2022, Emery transformed 17th-placed Villa into a top Premier League team. Emery guided them to a seventh-place finish in his first season and then to fourth place this campaign. “I am very happy to take this step and the responsibility of leading this club,” Emery said, noting that his existing contract still had three years left. “There’s great chemistry at Aston Villa, and the fans’ support makes it feel like home. We are really excited to continue this journey with no limits to our dreams.”
Unai Emery led Aston Villa to the Europa Conference League semi-finals, their first European campaign in 13 years.
