Barcelona’s position in third place in La Liga may raise some eyebrows but the club’s goal-scoring prowess is undeniable with two of Europe’s top scorers this season. Robert Lewandowski leads with 26 goals in 27 games across all competitions, making him La Liga’s top scorer with 16 goals. The 36-year-old Polish striker has been instrumental since joining Barcelona from Bayern Munich in 2022 with 85 goals in 122 appearances for the club. Tomasz Kuszczak a former Poland teammate, hailed Lewandowski as one of the greatest players of all time alongside Messi and Ronaldo.

Barcelona’s other top scorer, Raphinha has netted 20 goals in 28 games, his most prolific season yet. This includes a memorable Champions League hat-trick against Bayern Munich and three goals in two games against Real Madrid. Together, Lewandowski and Raphinha have 46 goals across all competitions, making them one of Europe’s most prolific duos. Elsewhere, Harry Kane of Bayern Munich has scored 22 goals in 22 appearances, helping his team top the Bundesliga while Mohamed Salah of Liverpool has 21 goals in 29 games leading the European Golden Shoe race.

Erling Haaland of Manchester City has scored 21 goals, despite a relatively quiet spell and Omar Marmoush of Eintracht Frankfurt has been one of the breakout stars with 20 goals, 15 of them in the Bundesliga. Interestingly, the top scorer in Europe is Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon with 32 goals in 30 games though his tally is not as heavily weighted due to the Portuguese league’s ranking. These players are setting high standards in Europe’s top leagues, showcasing the incredible talent across the continent.
