Bayern Munich Confirms Kane's Injury Recovery Is On Track

Bayern Munich provided a positive initial diagnosis for Harry Kane’s ankle injury after he limped off during their 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday. The England captain, 31, left the match in the 86th minute following a challenge by Leverkusen’s Amine Adli. Bayern’s medical team examined Kane on Sunday and reported encouraging signs of recovery from the “painful blow” to his ankle.

Despite the injury scare, Kane expressed optimism on Saturday night, stating he expects to be fit for Bayern’s upcoming Champions League match against Aston Villa on Wednesday. Leverkusen opened the scoring through Robert Andrich, who found the bottom corner after Granit Xhaka set him up. Bayern responded with a stunning 25-yard strike from Aleksandar Pavlovic.

He powered the ball into the top corner, even though goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky managed to get a hand to it. Bayern created several opportunities to take the lead with Serge Gnabry hitting both the post and crossbar shortly after halftime following a floated cross from Kane.
