Omar Marmoush Shines with Late Goal

Omar Marmoush scored a last-gasp equalizer for Eintracht Frankfurt earning them a thrilling 3-3 draw against Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich. Bayern started strong when defender Kim Min-jae opened the scoring with a close-range finish. Marmoush, continuing his impressive scoring streak, equalized for Frankfurt with a powerful shot that slipped under Manuel Neuer.

He then assisted Frankfurt’s second goal showcasing his strength and speed to evade Dayot Upamecano and set up Hugo Ekitike for a simple finish. However, Bayern responded quickly with Upamecano atoning for his earlier mistake by converting a loose ball just three minutes later. Bayern regained the lead with a beautifully curled shot from Michael Olise, who received an assist from Harry Kane.

Despite the England captain’s involvement, he faced frustration having not scored in his last three games and requiring treatment for an injury after a clash with Frankfurt’s Tuta. As the match entered six minutes of stoppage time, it seemed Bayern would secure a victory after their recent defeat to Aston Villa in the Champions League which marked their first loss under new manager Vincent Kompany.

However, Omar Marmoush had other ideas, racing past the Bayern defense to find the far corner of the net, bringing his season tally to eight goals and solidifying his position at the top of the Bundesliga scoring chart. The draw leaves Bayern winless in their last three matches across all competitions with one loss and two draws indicating a downturn in form for Kompany’s side.

Despite this, they remain at the top of the Bundesliga table with RB Leipzig close behind. Frankfurt’s draw keeps them in third place just shy of the top spot they last held in 1999 extending their unbeaten run to five matches.
