Robert Lewandowski Nets Brace in Barca’s Commanding Win

Robert Lewandowski scored two goals as Barcelona cruised to a 5-0 victory over Young Boys in the Champions League. Monteiro thought he had a consolation goal in stoppage time but a VAR check ruled it offside. With this victory, Barcelona improved their standing after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Monaco in their opening match of the tournament.

Lewandowski’s brace marked a significant achievement as he became the second player in Champions League history to score 50 or more goals after turning 30 following Cristiano Ronaldo. He now sits at 96 career goals in the competition and will likely be disappointed to be substituted before he could complete his hat-trick.

Raphinha also shone contributing a goal and an assist while continuously threatening the Young Boys’ defense with six shots and six key passes. Barcelona’s commanding performance demonstrated their ability to bounce back and set the tone for their Champions League campaign.
