Sparta Prague Thrash Salzburg in Champions League Return

Sparta Prague celebrated their return to the Champions League after nearly 19 years with a decisive 3-0 victory over Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg. Their last appearance in the competition was in December 2005 when they finished last in a group that included Arsenal, Ajax and FC Thun.

Before halftime, Sparta extended their lead with a spectacular volley by Victor Olatunji. His goal showcased his finishing ability and further solidified Sparta’s control of the game. The final blow came in the 58th minute from Qazim Laci, who added a third goal.

Laci skillfully outmaneuvered two Salzburg defenders and the goalkeeper with a clever dummy before slotting the ball into the net, sealing a convincing win for Sparta. This triumph marked Sparta’s first win in the Champions League proper since their 1-0 victory over Lazio in December 2003.
