Deniz Undav scored two goals to lead Germany to a 2-1 victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina in the Nations League. The Stuttgart striker opened the scoring with a brilliant first-time finish, converting a lay-off from Florian Wirtz. Shortly after, debutant Tim Kleindienst had a goal disallowed for offside keeping the score at 1-0. Bosnia-Herzegovina had a golden opportunity to level the match when Ermedin Demirovic struck the post with a powerful shot.

However, Undav soon extended Germany’s lead, scoring from a cross by Maximilian Mittelstadt. This marked Undav’s third goal for the national team in just his fifth appearance and second start. Undav nearly completed his hat trick later in the match, but both he and teammate Serge Gnabry saw goals disallowed due to offside calls. Despite pressure from Bosnia-Herzegovina, who sought an equalizer, Germany maintained control of the match.

Their composure allowed them to secure the victory. Edin Dzeko, the veteran striker at 38 years old gave Bosnia a glimmer of hope with a well-placed header from eight yards out. However, the hosts were unable to find the net again in Zenica. With this win, Germany continued to build momentum in their Nations League campaign showcasing Deniz Undav’s rising star potential and effective attacking play.

The match highlighted Germany’s ability to capitalize on their chances while also demonstrating Bosnia’s struggles to convert opportunities into goals. As the tournament progresses, Germany will look to maintain their winning form while Bosnia will aim to regroup and improve their performance in future matches.
