Ange Postecoglou expressed frustration with some Spurs supporters after their 1-0 loss to Bournemouth but acknowledged their right to be upset. Following the defeat at Vitality Stadium, Postecoglou confronted a group of fans voicing their anger. Despite the exchange, he said he understood their disappointment and took their feedback on board, though he admitted he didn’t like the manner in which they delivered it. “You’ve got to cop it,” said the 59-year-old, adding that he felt disappointed but remained determined to improve the team.

The loss left Tottenham in 10th place in the Premier League just below Bournemouth, marking their sixth league defeat of the season. Postecoglou reflected on the team’s need for more determination to control matches and not let opponents dominate. Spurs have only won one of their last six matches with that victory being a surprising 4-0 win over Manchester City. Former Stoke manager Tony Pulis speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live described Spurs as “Jekyll and Hyde,” referring to their inconsistent performances.

In their defeat to Bournemouth, Tottenham managed just 12 shots, four on target and posted an expected goal total of only 0.58 compared to Bournemouth’s 3.31. Les Ferdinand a former Spurs player, criticized the lack of urgency, saying the team didn’t look like they could score. He also noted that the team failed to produce in the second half. Bournemouth, who had a goal disallowed for offside and hit the post could have won by a greater margin.

Alan Shearer also blasted Spurs’ performance, calling it “terrible” and questioning Ange Postecoglou’s decision to keep the same lineup after halftime. “I never felt they were ever going to score tonight,” he added.
