Armando Broja has joined Everton on a season-long loan from Chelsea with the option to make the move permanent next summer. The 22-year-old Albania international was initially linked with a deadline day transfer to Ipswich Town but Everton ensured his move to Goodison Park by submitting a deal sheet just before the 23:00 BST deadline. Although Broja is currently recovering from a foot injury that will likely sideline him until mid-October, Everton remains optimistic about his potential impact.

Broja is under contract with Chelsea until 2028 and he has previously gained valuable experience during loan spells at Vitesse Arnhem, Southampton and Fulham. Everton’s director of football, Kevin Thelwell expressed satisfaction with the signing, noting that the club has tracked Broja’s development for years. Thelwell emphasized that Broja has much more potential to unlock and believes the young forward can offer even more in the future.

Everton, who have yet to score a Premier League goal this season, urgently need attacking reinforcements. Manager Sean Dyche hopes that Broja’s arrival will bolster their attacking options once he returns to full fitness.  The Albanian striker is the sixth new player Sean Dyche has added to his squad this summer. Dyche previously signed Orel Mangala on loan from Lyon, midfielder Tim Iroegbunam, defender Jake O’Brien, attacking midfielder Iliman Ndiaye, and on-loan winger Jesper Lindstrom.

With his versatility and experience, Armando Broja could play a crucial role in helping Everton improve their goal-scoring capabilities and climb the Premier League table.
