Bournemouth Thrash Forest 5-0 to Extend Unbeaten Run

Bournemouth delivered an attacking masterclass to extend their club-record unbeaten Premier League run to 11 games, thrashing high-flying Nottingham Forest 5-0 at the Vitality Stadium. The Cherries, fresh from a 4-1 win over Newcastle, overwhelmed a Forest side that had risen to third in the league table, dismantling their usually solid defense with a fast-flowing, creative display. Dango Ouattara stole the spotlight with a hat-trick, starting with a header from Justin Kluivert’s cross in the 55th minute before driving in his second six minutes later.

He completed his treble by capitalizing on a fumble by Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels after Marcus Tavernier’s shot. Kluivert had earlier opened the scoring in the ninth minute, exploiting Forest’s hesitant defending with a 25-yard strike. Antoine Semenyo added a fifth in stoppage time with a solo effort, sealing Bournemouth’s emphatic victory. Under manager Andoni Iraola, Bournemouth have become a well-drilled, high-energy team with a solid defense anchored by Kepa Arrizabalaga.

With their record unbeaten run and stellar form, the Cherries have genuine hopes of European qualification, as their fans proudly chanted during the game. Forest, who had emerged as surprise title contenders, endured their worst performance of the season. Their defense crumbled under Bournemouth’s relentless attack with typically reliable players like Murillo and Sels enduring difficult afternoons.

Despite Anthony Elanga’s efforts to inspire a response, Forest’s usual qualities were absent, and they suffered a sobering defeat. While this was a significant blow to Forest’s momentum, manager Nuno Espirito Santo is unlikely to overreact, focusing instead on regrouping for the challenges ahead. Meanwhile, Bournemouth’s vibrant form sets the stage for a stern test against league leaders Liverpool.
