Bukayo Saka Confident Arsenal Will End Title Drought

Bukayo Saka, Arsenal forward is confident that this season could be the one where the Gunners end their 21-year wait for a Premier League title. After finishing second to Manchester City for the past two seasons, Saka believes the team is ready to take the final step and lift the trophy. Currently sitting third in the Premier League table, Arsenal are level on points with City and just a point behind leaders Liverpool after six games.

In an interview with CBS Sports, Saka expressed his optimism, saying, “I don’t want to put too much pressure on us, but I do think this is the year Arsenal win the title.” Reflecting on the team’s recent near misses, Saka added that Arsenal have been close in the past two seasons and feel they are steadily getting closer to their goal.

Saka’s determination to win this season is also driven by personal disappointment having been part of the England squads that lost the European Championship finals in both 2021 and 2024. The 23-year-old says those experiences have only fueled his hunger to secure silverware with Arsenal.

He pointed to Arsenal’s 2-0 Champions League victory against Paris Saint-Germain as evidence that the team can compete with the best. Speaking to Amazon Prime, Saka said, “I’ve come runners-up a lot, but I have the spirit and belief in myself to win this season. We believe we’re a top team, and we showed that against PSG.”

Bukayo Saka emphasized the importance of making a statement when facing big teams at the Emirates, reinforcing his confidence that Arsenal are ready to challenge for the title.
