Dean Huijsen's Header Lifts Bournemouth Over Spurs

Dean Huijsen’s header secured Bournemouth’s 1-0 victory over Tottenham, lifting them above Spurs in the Premier League standings. The 19-year-old defender scored in the 17th minute heading Marcus Tavernier’s inswinging corner at the back post exposing Spurs’ vulnerability on set-pieces. The goal underscored Tottenham’s ongoing issues with defending set-pieces, visibly frustrating manager Ange Postecoglou, who shook his head on the sidelines.

Tottenham started the match strongly with Dominic Solanke, back at the Vitality Stadium after his £65m move contributing to two of their first three shots. Tottenham’s poor form persisted with only one win in their last six games raising questions about their mentality. Despite starting well, they lost control after conceding showing signs of anxiety and poor decision-making. Postecoglou faces challenges with key players like Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero and Guglielmo Vicario unavailable.
