Jean-Philippe Mateta’s Brace Powers Palace to 2-0 Win

In stoppage time, Mateta converted a penalty after Eddie Nketiah drew a foul from Fabianski, sealing the victory for Palace.

West Ham struggled at home once again, failing to register a shot on target throughout the match. Despite holding more possession, they couldn’t break down Palace’s defense. The hosts also had Konstantinos Mavropanos sent off in the 80th minute after he received a second yellow card for fouling Mateta. West Ham have conceded 26 goals at home this season and remain inconsistent, winning only one of their last five league games.
