Justin Kluivert’s Hat-Trick Hands Bournemouth Stunning Win

Justin Kluivert scored a stunning hat-trick as Bournemouth defeated Newcastle 4-1 at St James’ Park, stretching their unbeaten Premier League run to 10 matches. The win also ended Newcastle’s nine-game streak, marking a significant blow to their title aspirations. Bournemouth made a strong start and took the lead in the 6th minute through Kluivert, who finished a well-executed pass from Antoine Semenyo.

Newcastle equalized in the 25th minute when Bruno Guimaraes scored with a header from a corner, despite Kepa Arrizabalaga getting a hand to the ball. However, Kluivert struck again just before halftime, capitalizing on a mistake by Guimaraes to give Bournemouth a 2-1 lead. In the second half, Bournemouth had a goal disallowed after VAR ruled that Guimaraes’ clearance had gone out of play but they continued to press.

Kluivert completed his hat-trick with a brilliant long-range strike following a sloppy pass from Anthony Gordon, making it 3-1. Milos Kerkez added a fourth in added time, capping off a dominant performance by the Cherries. The result sees Bournemouth rise to 6th in the table, just a point behind 4th-placed Newcastle. Despite dominating possession, Newcastle struggled to break down Bournemouth’s defense and were punished for sloppy play.

The Magpies failed to generate much offense with in-form striker Alexander Isak unable to register a shot from open play. Bournemouth’s victory was a remarkable achievement especially considering their injury troubles and a blow to former manager Eddie Howe as he suffered defeat to his old club. Justin Kluivert’s hat-trick brought his season tally to 10 goals, solidifying his place as one of the standout performers for Bournemouth.
