Liverpool Dominate City to Extend Premier League Lead

Liverpool doubled their lead late on after Darwin Núñez pressured Ruben Dias into an error leading to a penalty converted by Salah. Slot’s impact on Liverpool is becoming increasingly evident.

While early-season performances were solid but unspectacular, recent wins against Real Madrid and City mark a significant upturn. City’s lack of creativity with Erling Haaland isolated and Ilkay Gündoğan appearing past his best, raises serious questions about their ability to bridge the now 11-point gap to Liverpool. Guardiola, defiant despite taunts from the Anfield crowd applauded the home fans post-match. However, this latest setback underlines the scale of City’s struggles and Liverpool’s growing dominance under Slot, hinting at a potentially historic season ahead.
