Manchester United concluded their disappointing Premier League season with a positive result, securing a 2-0 win against Brighton thanks to goals from Rasmus Hojlund and Diogo Dalot. However, the victory couldn’t overshadow the disappointment of Erik ten Hag’s side finishing in eighth place, marking their lowest top-flight position since the 1989-90 season. Brighton had the better chances and dominated possession with Adam Webster and Joao Pedro coming closest to scoring in the first half. However, they were unable to capitalize on their opportunities, and Manchester United capitalized with Dalot’s goal in the 73rd minute and Hojlund’s strike two minutes before full time.
