Premier League clubs have invested heavily in strengthening their squads as the summer transfer window has closed. However, teams still have the chance to sign free agents, who are players currently without contracts.
Here’s a look at some notable free agents still seeking new clubs:
Goalkeeper
Keylor Navas: The 37-year-old Costa Rican departed Paris Saint-Germain in May. Although he was set to join Monza, the deal fell through. Navas, who previously played for Real Madrid and PSG also had a loan spell at Nottingham Forest.
Right-back
Serge Aurier: At 31, the Ivory Coast defender recently left Galatasaray. He has previously played for Tottenham and Nottingham Forest and is a two-time Ligue 1 winner with PSG.
Centre-back
Joel Matip: The 33-year-old defender left Liverpool this summer after eight seasons. During his time at Liverpool, he won the Premier League and the Champions League. Matip now links with West Ham.
Mats Hummels: The 35-year-old German finished his stint with Borussia Dortmund in June after their Champions League final loss. Hummels, a 2014 World Cup winner is rumored to head to Roma.
Left-back
Brandon Williams: At 24, Williams was released by Manchester United after making 51 appearances. He still seeks a new club.
Winger
Victor Moses: The 33-year-old former Chelsea and Liverpool player looks for a new team after leaving Spartak Moscow. Moses had a notable nine-year spell at Chelsea.
Central midfield
Adrien Rabiot: The 29-year-old midfielder departed Juventus after making 212 appearances. Rabiot, who played in the 2022 World Cup final has linked with Manchester United.
Andre Gomes: The 31-year-old Portuguese midfielder left Everton where he played from 2019 to 2024. Gomes, formerly of Barcelona remains a free agent.
Winger
Robert Skov: The 28-year-old Danish winger, previously linked with Tottenham remains without a club after spending five years at Hoffenheim.
Forward
Anthony Martial: The 28-year-old French striker, who scored 90 goals for Manchester United still seeks a club with Lille reportedly interested.
Memphis Depay: The 30-year-old Dutch forward, who helped his country reach the Euro 2024 semi-finals searches for a new team following an injury-hit season with Atletico Madrid.
