Premier League: Fresh Talent Set to Shine in 2024-25

Premier League teams are gearing up for the new season as several players will make their debut in England’s top flight. Meanwhile, some clubs have been particularly active in bolstering their squads for the 2024-25 campaign. Here are ten players to watch:

Riccardo Calafiori – Arsenal signed the 22-year-old Italy defender for £42m from Bologna. After joining Bologna for just £3.3m last summer, Calafiori stood out in Euro 2024 despite Italy’s disappointing performance. Consequently, his move to Arsenal marks a significant upgrade in his career.

Joshua Zirkzee – Manchester United acquired Netherlands striker Zirkzee from Bologna for £36.54m. Zirkzee, who scored 12 goals in Serie A last season, will wear the number 11 shirt at Old Trafford. This investment reflects United’s confidence in his attacking potential.

Savinho – Manchester City paid £30m to bring Brazil winger Savinho from Troyes. The 20-year-old impressed on loan at Girona and already made his Brazil debut. Thus, City’s investment highlights their belief in Savinho’s potential impact.

Niclas Fullkrug – West Ham signed 31-year-old German striker Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund for £27m. Fullkrug scored 15 goals last season and contributed to Germany’s Euro 2024 campaign. Therefore, his addition is expected to bolster West Ham’s attacking prowess.

Daichi Kamada – Crystal Palace secured Japan midfielder Kamada on a free transfer from Lazio. Kamada, who previously played under Palace boss Oliver Glasner at Eintracht Frankfurt, brings 33 international caps and significant European experience. Hence, this move will likely enhance Palace’s midfield strength.

Lucas Bergvall – Tottenham signed 18-year-old Swedish midfielder Bergvall from Djurgarden for nearly £8.5m. Bergvall impressed during pre-season with his creativity and control, positioning him as a potential key player in Spurs’ midfield this season.

Jake O’Brien – Everton brought Republic of Ireland defender O’Brien back from Lyon. O’Brien, who gained top-flight experience in France, will aim to establish himself in the Premier League. As a result, his return will likely solidify Everton’s defensive options.

Nikola Milenkovic – Nottingham Forest signed Serbian defender Milenkovic from Fiorentina. With 56 international caps, Milenkovic will strengthen Forest’s defense after a challenging previous season. Consequently, his presence is expected to be crucial for their defensive setup.

Liam Delap – Ipswich’s new striker Delap arrived from Manchester City in a deal potentially worth £20m. Delap aims to make an impact after loan spells in the Championship, positioning himself as a key figure in Ipswich’s Premier League campaign.

Dean Huijsen – Bournemouth signed 19-year-old Dutch defender Huijsen from Juventus for an initial £12.8m. Huijsen, who made 13 appearances on loan at Roma will enhance Bournemouth’s defense. Therefore, his signing is expected to strengthen the Cherries’ defensive lineup.
