Ramon Sosa Joins Nottingham Forest in £9.3M Deal
Ramon Sosa has joined Nottingham Forest from Talleres in a deal worth £9.3 million. The 24-year-old has committed to a five-year contract with Forest, following an impressive stint in Argentina’s top flight. During his time with Talleres, Sosa made a significant impact by scoring 17 goals and providing 13 assists in 56 appearances. Sosa’s versatility as both a forward and winger has earned him 14 caps for Paraguay.
His performances in the recent Copa America have further enhanced his reputation. Forest’s chief football officer, Ross Wilson, highlighted Sosa’s strong desire to join the club, noting the energy and excitement he brought to the team from the moment he arrived. Before joining Talleres, Sosa had a successful stint with Gimnasia where he scored six goals and provided seven assists in his debut season.
This form led to his move to Talleres, where he continued to impress. His career began in Paraguay with Olimpia where he won the Copa Paraguay in 2021 before making the move to Argentina. Ramon Sosa’s arrival at Nottingham Forest comes just before their opening Premier League match against Bournemouth. This signing is part of Nottingham Forest’s broader strategy to strengthen their squad.
Recent acquisitions also include winger Jota Silva, midfielder Elliot Anderson, defenders Nikola Milenkovic and Eric da Silva Moreira and goalkeeper Carlos Miguel. With these new additions, Forest aims to build a competitive team for the upcoming season.
