Ademola Lookman Journey to European Success

Ademola Lookman etched his name in Atalanta’s history books by scoring a hat-trick in the Europa League final. However, manager Gian Piero Gasperini admitted that he didn’t expect such progress from the winger born in London, Nigeria. Playing a crucial role in Atalanta’s victory over Bayer Leverkusen in Dublin, Lookman became only the sixth player to score a hat-trick in a European final.

At the age of 26, Lookman had never scored double figures in a season for his previous clubs. However, his time at Atalanta has been transformative. Scoring 15 goals in each of his two seasons with the Italian side, Lookman’s development has astonished Gasperini. The manager attributes this progress to a change in position and the player’s dedication. Reflecting on his journey, Lookman expresses confidence in his abilities and gratitude for the support he has received at Atalanta.

After the historic win, Ademola Lookman describes it as one of the best nights of his life. Moreover, he emphasizes the importance of celebrating the achievement. He acknowledges the crucial role Gasperini and the club played in his career, crediting them for elevating his game to a new level. As accolades continue to pour in, Lookman remains humble and grateful for the support he has received from fans and mentors. Additionally, he reflects on his journey from his youth days to European success, recognizing the transformative impact Atalanta has had on his career.
