Fulham secured a dominant 4-1 victory against Watford in their FA Cup third-round match, advancing to the fourth round with ease. The home side controlled the game from the outset, despite a brief fightback from Watford, who equalized through a stunning 30-yard strike by Rocco Vata. Fulham had already taken the lead with a 26th-minute goal from Rodrigo Muniz and after Vata’s goal, they quickly regained their dominance.

Raul Jimenez introduced at halftime restored Fulham’s advantage, converting a penalty after Adama Traore was fouled near the box. Defender Joachim Andersen then extended the lead with a volley from a corner which initially had been blocked. Fulham added a fourth goal in the final minutes when Timothy Castagne headed in Martial Godo’s cross. Despite Watford’s brief moment of brilliance with Vata’s equalizer, Fulham’s control of the match was evident throughout, as they dominated possession and shots on goal.

Watford managed just two shots on target from five attempts, compared to Fulham’s eight on target from 27 shots. Fulham’s relentless pressure highlighted Watford’s defensive weaknesses with Marco Silva’s side showcasing superior attacking quality. Adama Traore and Alex Iwobi continuously troubled the opposition on the wings with their high-energy play.c

Silva made seven changes to his lineup but it didn’t affect their rhythm. Jimenez, fresh off two penalty goals in the previous match against Ipswich, showcased his strength and movement. Fulham could have scored more with Andreas Pereira hitting the crossbar with a volley. Watford, on the other hand, suffered their fourth consecutive loss in all competitions.
