Endrick Breaks Record as Real Madrid Edges Stuttgart 2-1

Endrick made history as Real Madrid’s youngest Champions League goalscorer during their hard-fought 2-1 home victory over Stuttgart. At just 18 years and 58 days old, the Brazilian forward broke the previous record held by Raul, who was 18 years and 113 days old when he scored in 1995. Endrick, who joined Madrid from Palmeiras this summer had already made headlines as the youngest player to score on his La Liga debut for the club.

In this match, he secured the win with the final kick of the game after coming on in the 80th minute. Kylian Mbappe, making his debut in Europe’s top competition for Real Madrid, opened the scoring just 20 seconds into the second half. Aurelien Tchouameni’s precise pass found Rodrygo, who then set up Mbappe for a straightforward tap-in. Stuttgart’s Deniz Undav equalized with a well-placed header in the 68th minute.

Real Madrid regained the lead when Antonio Rudiger scored with a header in the 83rd minute. England’s Jude Bellingham played 80 minutes after missing the previous four matches due to a calf injury. Real Madrid’s goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois made crucial saves including denying Enzo Millot and Angelo Stiller’s attempts. Vinicius Jr also came close, hitting the crossbar with a powerful shot.

Stuttgart missed several chances in the first half with Enzo Millot and Angelo Stiller failing to convert one-on-one opportunities. Undav’s long-range effort also hit the top of the crossbar. Real Madrid will next face Lille while Stuttgart will host Sparta Prague.
