He helped the team finish fourth in the Premier League, earning them a spot in the Champions League for the first time. His exceptional goalkeeping saw him keep nine clean sheets in 34 league matches, solidifying his reputation as one of the top goalkeepers in the league. He played every match as Argentina successfully defended their Copa America title, achieving their record 16th win in the tournament.
