Brighton vies with Premier League Giants for Kieran McKenna

Brighton is currently in the midst of a managerial pursuit, with Kieran McKenna emerging as a top candidate to succeed Roberto De Zerbi. As the race intensifies, Brighton faces a challenging decision in securing their desired managerial appointment amidst strong interest from rival clubs. Meanwhile, Gareth Southgate is giving his defensive injury concerns a chance to prove fitness as he selects his provisional England squad for Euro 2024 on Tuesday.  Additionally, Liam Rosenior emerges as a contender for Brighton’s vacant managerial position, while Dutch manager Pascal Jansen is considered for Norwich.

In the transfer market, despite securing a significant Champions League qualification windfall, Aston Villa is willing to sell center-back Diego Carlos. Manchester City’s title celebrations, led by Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland, took place at the Fenix restaurant and bar in the Manchester Goods Yard.  In international football, Marcus Rashford’s Euros spot is uncertain amid England’s defensive injury crisis, while Mohamed Salah has hinted strongly at remaining with Liverpool to aid their trophy pursuit.

Aston Villa reportedly eyes a bold move for Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo, and Liverpool unexpectedly joins the race for Benfica’s Orkun Kokcu. Looking ahead, Gareth Southgate aims to reinforce England’s injury-hit defense with extra squad spots while separate routes will guide fans to Wembley for the all-Manchester FA Cup final to prevent issues.

On the domestic front, Arsenal will back Mikel Arteta in the transfer market to challenge Manchester City. However, Southgate might prioritize defenders in the Euro 2024 squad, potentially excluding Rashford, Grealish, Maddison, and Toney. Lastly, VAR officials will intervene in Premier League matches only for clear errors, aiming to expedite the system and reduce interference.
