Dani Olmo Joins Barcelona for £51M from RB Leipzig

Dani Olmo has secured a move to Barcelona from RB Leipzig in a deal valued at approximately 60 million euros (£51 million). The 26-year-old Olmo, who previously played for Barcelona’s youth teams before moving to Dinamo Zagreb in 2014, returns to the club with a six-year contract. His contract includes a release clause of 500 million euros (£429 million).

Olmo had an impressive Euro 2024, where he was one of the joint top-scorers with three goals, contributing significantly to Spain’s victory in the tournament. This win marked Spain’s record fourth European Championship title. Barcelona highlighted Olmo’s exceptional individual skills and his ability to connect well with teammates. They praised his goal-scoring prowess, noting his capability to find the net from both inside and outside the penalty area.

During his time with RB Leipzig, which he joined in 2020, Dani Olmo won two German Cups and made a notable impact.
