Emile Smith Rowe Joins Fulham for Record £34 Million

Emile Smith Rowe will join Fulham from Arsenal for an initial £27 million, with potential add-ons bringing the total to £34 million. This deal makes Smith Rowe the most expensive signing in Fulham’s history. The add-ons will depend on the Cottagers’ success in Cup competitions and European tournaments. At 23, Smith Rowe, an Arsenal academy graduate has been a fan favorite.

However, he has seen his playing time diminish due to competition from Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Bukayo Saka. As a result, he missed Arsenal’s last two pre-season matches while finalizing the transfer deal. Emile Smith Rowe, who has earned three caps for England, last played for the national team in 2022. He will now join Fulham’s squad, bringing his experience and talent to their midfield.

Fulham’s investment in him aims to strengthen their team for the upcoming season. In related news, Arsenal have signed Italy defender Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna for up to £42 million. The 22-year-old, who has joined Arsenal on a five-year contract, will add crucial versatility and depth to Mikel Arteta’s squad. His presence is expected to significantly strengthen the team’s defense.

This addition will be crucial as they prepare for a competitive Premier League campaign.
