After facing limited opportunities at Liverpool, Carvalho moved on loan to RB Leipzig at the beginning of the 2023-24 season. However, he spent most of his time in Germany on the bench, leading to his early return in December. He then moved on loan to Hull City in the Championship, where he found his form, scoring nine goals in 20 games. His performances proved instrumental, though Hull narrowly missed out on the play-offs.
Fulham, Fabio Carvalho’s former club will benefit from his move to Brentford, receiving 20% of the profit from the transfer. Brentford secured Carvalho’s signature ahead of Southampton, who had a £15 million bid rejected by Liverpool. Carvalho’s arrival at Brentford marks a significant step in his career, as he aims to rebuild and fulfill his potential after a challenging period at Liverpool.
The move also demonstrates Brentford’s ambition to strengthen their squad with young, talented players as they continue to compete in the Premier League.
