Gerard Piqué Claims Shakira Misrepresents Their Break-Up

Gerard Piqué recently spoke out about his break-up with Shakira, claiming she has not been entirely truthful about their split which occurred over two years ago. Shakira, 47 announced their separation in June 2022 after 11 years together amid allegations of Piqué’s infidelity. Since then, she has referenced him in her music even dubbing him “Voldemort.”

Piqué, 37 is now in a relationship with 25-year-old Clara Chía Marti and insists he is “very happy.” This comes despite Shakira’s ongoing barbs directed at him and his new partner. In an interview with CNN, Piqué stated, “The truth or what happens is not told the way it was. I cannot control this,” adding that he finds comfort in being surrounded by loved ones who truly know him.

He expressed gratitude for his life, reflecting on his long career with FC Barcelona and the joy of his two children, Milan, 11 and Sasha, 9. Reports from 2022 indicated that Piqué and Shakira had lived apart for weeks before their official announcement. Allegedly, Shakira kicked him out of their home during that time.

A popular theory suggested that Shakira discovered Piqué’s alleged cheating after noticing a jar of strawberry jam had disappeared during her absence. However, she later dismissed this myth. In the summer of 2023, Piqué reportedly moved in with Clara Chía in the same home he once shared with Shakira.

Additionally, footage surfaced showing Clara in the background during a Zoom interview that Gerard Piqué conducted from his family home. At the time, Shakira was traveling with their children. Clara works for Piqué’s company, Kosmos. Their new relationship has sparked public interest and scrutiny about the dynamics between him and Shakira.
