Kieran Trippier, the Newcastle United defender seeks to leave the club this month in search of more regular first-team football. The 33-year-old England international, who sat on the bench during Newcastle’s recent 1-0 win against Southampton finds himself behind Tino Livramento in the right-back position. Trippier joined Newcastle from Atletico Madrid in 2022 but struggles to secure a consistent starting role. Earlier this year, Newcastle blocked Trippier’s potential exit when Bayern Munich and Saudi Arabian clubs showed interest.

Now, rumors link him to a move to Everton, where he could reunite with manager Sean Dyche, who coached him for three years at Burnley. When asked about the speculation during a news conference, Dyche acknowledged Trippier’s name and noted that it was one of many linked to the club especially as Everton currently lacks a right-back due to Ashley Young’s suspension after his red card in the defeat against Brighton.

Trippier, who earned 54 caps for England played a key role in the national team during Euro 2024 starting the first six matches of the tournament before Gareth Southgate replaced him with Luke Shaw for the final. Despite his desire to leave, Trippier still has two years left on his contract with Newcastle. With limited first-team opportunities at Newcastle, Kieran Trippier is considering a move.

The chance to reunite with Sean Dyche at Everton could prompt a transfer before the window closes.
