Manchester City Eye Amorim as Guardiola Successor

Manchester City is considering Sporting head coach Ruben Amorim, 39, as a potential successor to Pep Guardiola whose contract expires at the end of the season. Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies, 23 stands out as a key target for Manchester United in the upcoming summer transfer window. Meanwhile, Manchester United plans to sell Brazil winger Antony, 24 for £40 million or allow him to leave on loan in January. Barcelona has set its sights on Chelsea’s 20-year-old Belgian midfielder Romeo Lavia and English attacking midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka.

Both players may be targets for the club in January. Additionally, Newcastle forward Alexander Isak, 25 has stalled on signing a new contract, putting clubs like Arsenal on high alert. Senegal midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate, 34, recently underwent a medical at Leeds United after leaving Nottingham Forest as a free agent.  Paris Saint-Germain remains interested in England forward Marcus Rashford, 26 after they rebuffed their previous summer approach.

However, Chelsea will not consider any offers for 26-year-old French forward Christopher Nkunku despite rumors linking him to PSG. Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace both express interest in Lille’s 21-year-old Icelandic winger Hakon Arnar Haraldsson. Meanwhile, Arsenal may revisit their interest in Espanyol’s 23-year-old Spanish goalkeeper Joan Garcia whose release clause has dropped to €25 million (£20.83 million).

Manchester City likely will demand a world-record transfer fee for Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, 24 if he moves to either Real Madrid or Barcelona. Finally, City actively monitors Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Georgiy Sudakov, 22 along with Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham. They also plan to bring back Argentine midfielder Claudio Echeverri, 18 from River Plate in January after his loan spell.

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka, 23 hopes to recover in time for the Premier League clash against Bournemouth after he missed England duty due to a hamstring injury.
