Niclas Fullkrug Moves to West Ham in £27M Deal

Niclas Fullkrug, the Germany striker will join West Ham United from Borussia Dortmund for £27 million. The 31-year-old striker made a notable impact in his first season with Dortmund, scoring 15 goals in 46 appearances and helping the team to a runner-up finish in the Champions League. He joined Dortmund from Werder Bremen last summer for £12.6 million. Fullkrug also contributed to Germany’s Euro 2024 campaign with two goals, despite not starting any of the matches.

Dortmund announced that they have permitted Niclas Fullkrug to leave their training camp in Switzerland to discuss terms with an unnamed club. This move is part of West Ham’s ongoing efforts to bolster their squad, particularly in the attacking position. West Ham, managed by Julen Lopetegui has been active in the transfer market this season. West Ham United has already signed Wolves captain Max Kilman for £40 million and Sheffield United goalkeeper Wes Foderingham.

Additionally, they secured Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras for £25.5 million. The Hammers are also looking to strengthen other areas of their team including interest in Manchester United’s full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Leeds United’s Dutch forward Crysencio Summerville.Alongside Fullkrug, West Ham has been negotiating for Aston Villa’s Colombian forward Jhon Duran. The club’s proactive transfer activity reflects their ambition to improve their squad for the upcoming season.
