Striker Richarlison has committed to staying at Tottenham Hotspur despite receiving an offer to move to Saudi Arabia. The 27-year-old Brazilian, who joined Spurs from Everton in 2022 for a club-record £60 million has expressed his desire to remain in England to boost his chances of continuing his international career with Brazil. Richarlison, who has scored 15 goals in 66 appearances for Tottenham was not a regular starter last season under manager Ange Postecoglou.

Richarlison, whose contract extends until 2027 has attracted interest from several Saudi Arabian clubs. However, he has decided to prioritize his dream of playing in the Premier League and representing the Brazilian Selecao. “There has been an offer, but my dream of playing for the Brazilian Selecao and in the Premier League speaks louder,” Richarlison told ESPN Brazil.

In the meantime, Tottenham Hotspur is actively pursuing a new striker this summer with Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke identified as a key target. Solanke, who netted 21 goals in 42 appearances for Bournemouth last season was notably left out of England’s Euro 2024 squad. Bournemouth, keen to retain Solanke has set a £65 million release clause in his contract which has three years remaining. However, Tottenham values the striker at a lower price and is negotiating accordingly.

Tottenham’s interest in Solanke highlights their ongoing efforts to strengthen their squad, particularly in the forward position, as they seek to enhance their attacking options for the upcoming season.
