Harry Kane will earn his 100th England cap when the Three Lions face Finland in the Nations League becoming just the 10th player to reach the milestone. The 31-year-old Bayern Munich striker debuted for England in 2015 and is now the nation’s all-time top scorer with 66 goals in 99 games. He follows in the footsteps of legends like Wayne Rooney, who earned 120 caps and Peter Shilton, England’s record holder with 125 appearances.

Reflecting on the achievement, Kane acknowledged the honor of joining such a prestigious list of players and expressed his ambition to reach 100 international goals. He emphasized that his consistency and drive are key to his success with a debut goal scored just 79 seconds into his first England appearance in 2015. Kane has since become the record scorer at major tournaments for England with 15 goals.

Harry Kane has been a prolific goal scorer across his 99 caps, playing under four managers. The majority of his success has come under Gareth Southgate, with 61 goals in 81 appearances. The striker also draws inspiration from Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo, aiming to maintain a high level of performance into his late 30s. Kane has scored five hat-tricks during his England career.

If he nets against Finland, he will join Wayne Rooney and Bobby Charlton as one of the few to score on their 100th cap. Despite nearing this landmark, Kane remains focused on his long-term goals, including helping England achieve success in future tournaments. His versatility as both a scorer and creator has led pundits like Chris Sutton to predict a lengthy international career for the striker, with no immediate successor in sight.
