Jordan White’s 99th-minute tap-in salvaged an incredible 2-2 draw for Ross County against relegation-threatened Hearts, who squandered a two-goal lead in injury time. Hearts had led 2-0, thanks to two goals from 17-year-old striker James Wilson. The first came in the opening minute when Wilson fired under the keeper after being played through by Liam Boyce. In the second half, Wilson doubled his tally with a header from a James Penrice cross, putting Hearts in control.

However, Hearts’ defense collapsed in the final moments. First, Ross County pulled one back when Joshua Nisbet scored from close range after Hearts failed to clear a corner. In the dying seconds, a long ball was misjudged by Hearts’ keeper Craig Gordon allowing Jordan White to score the equalizer. Despite missing captain Lawrence Shankland through injury, Hearts couldn’t hold on to their lead and County took full advantage.

Hearts had several chances to seal the win with Wilson denied a potential hat-trick when VAR ruled out a penalty for a foul outside the box. Later, a free-kick from Blair Spittal hit the crossbar and a tap-in from Boyce was ruled offside. Ross County’s resilience was key as they showed great determination despite struggling for much of the match.

Manager Don Cowie praised his team’s character for continuing to fight even when they didn’t deserve a point. This dramatic draw leaves County in 10th place while Hearts remain in 11th, deep in relegation trouble. Neil Critchley faces a tough challenge to turn Hearts’ fortunes around as their defensive frailties continue to haunt them.
