Football | December 17, 2024
Josh Allen added two more rushing touchdowns to his tally and continues to be the frontrunner for the league MVP.

Josh Allen continued his sensational form in another thrilling Buffalo Bills victory while the Kansas City Chiefs’ latest win came with a concerning injury to quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Despite the injury, the Chiefs secured their biggest win of the season defeating the Cleveland Browns 21-7. However, Mahomes limped off with an ankle injury late in the game and the team is awaiting further tests to assess the damage ahead of their next two games.

Meanwhile, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills edged the Detroit Lions 48-42 in a high-scoring spectacle that saw both teams’ defenses struggle. Allen’s two early rushing touchdowns helped the Bills extend their 30-point streak to eight games. The Bills are now aiming to challenge the Chiefs for the top seed in the AFC. The Pittsburgh Steelers secured a playoff spot despite their 27-13 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, who extended their winning streak to 10 games.

The Steelers now face competition for their AFC North lead from the Baltimore Ravens, who dominated the New York Giants 35-14. The Houston Texans won the AFC South title for the second year in a row defeating the Miami Dolphins 20-12, although the game was overshadowed by a serious injury to Dolphins’ receiver Grant DuBose. The Green Bay Packers delivered a strong 30-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks, who dropped out of the playoff picture while the Minnesota Vikings secured a playoff spot.

In other action, the Washington Commanders held off a late Saints surge to win 20-19, the Indianapolis Colts lost 31-13 to the Denver Broncos, and the Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Tennessee Titans 37-27. The Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals also secured wins in Week 14.
