Julio Soler the 19-year-old defender has agreed to join Bournemouth from Argentine club Lanus for an initial fee of approximately £6.6m. Soler a Paraguay-born left-back has made 58 appearances for Lanus since his debut in 2022. The deal could rise to around £11.5m if various add-on clauses are met. Soler, who has represented Argentina at youth level, will travel to the UK on Monday to finalize the transfer.

The Cherries are confident they will complete the deal in the coming days, strengthening their defensive options with the promising young player. This move comes as Bournemouth continues its strong start to the Premier League season. The addition of Soler will further strengthen their squad as they aim to maintain their competitive form and push for a top-half finish in the Premier League. Bournemouth’s focus on young talent like Soler reflects their strategy to build a balanced team for both the present and the future. They expect the Argentine defender to play a key role in their defense moving forward.

The deal which includes performance-based add-ons, highlights the club’s commitment to improving its squad while adhering to financial sustainability. As Julio Soler prepares to join the Cherries, the club hopes that his experience in Argentina’s top flight will translate well to the Premier League. They expect him to showcase his abilities on a bigger stage.
