Kylian Mbappe Debuts in La Liga, Madrid Held by Mallorca

Kylian Mbappe made his much-anticipated La Liga debut for defending champions Real Madrid, but they settled for a 1-1 draw against Mallorca on the opening day. The France captain, who recently joined Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain, had already scored on his debut in the 2-0 UEFA Super Cup win over Atalanta. However, he couldn’t find the net in his first domestic league appearance.

Rodrygo opened the scoring for Real Madrid with a well-executed goal, curling the ball into the net after Vinicius Jr. cleverly backheeled it to him.
