Robert Lewandowski Leads Barcelona’s 4-0 El Clasico Rout

Robert Lewandowski led Barcelona to a dominant 4-0 El Clasico victory over Real Madrid, scoring twice in three minutes and moving La Liga leaders Barcelona six points clear of their rivals. Real Madrid aiming to extend an unbeaten league streak to 43 games (matching Barcelona’s 2017-18 record) saw their hopes dashed by Barcelona’s relentless second-half performance at the Bernabeu.

After a scoreless first half, Lewandowski broke through in the 54th minute with a composed finish from Marc Casado’s through ball. Three minutes later, he struck again with a powerful header from Alejandro Balde’s cross. The 36-year-old forward nearly completed a hat-trick, hitting the woodwork before sending another attempt over the bar. Spanish teenager Lamine Yamal extended Barcelona’s lead with a stunning shot into the top corner. At 17, he became the youngest-ever El Clasico scorer.

Raphinha capped off the win with a late lob, netting his first goal against Real Madrid. Real Madrid’s star signing Kylian Mbappe, who had previously scored a hat-trick against Barcelona with PSG, experienced a challenging Clasico debut with two goals disallowed for offside and another attempt denied by keeper Inaki Pena. The French forward, who has six La Liga goals this season, struggled to make an impact.

Similarly, Jude Bellingham has yet to score this season after impressively netting 19 league goals in his debut La Liga campaign. Barcelona, coming off a 10-point deficit to Real Madrid last season, are now blending youth with veteran leadership. Rising stars Casado and Balde, both 21 contributed assists in the victory.

Meanwhile, Robert Lewandowski excelled, increasing his league tally to 14 goals in 11 games. Manager Hansi Flick credited the team’s high defensive line for stifling Madrid’s attack, acknowledging the effective mix of youthful energy and Lewandowski’s experience.
