Robin le Normand Suffers Traumatic Brain Injury in Madrid Derby

Atletico Madrid defender Robin le Normand sustained a traumatic brain injury following a collision during the Madrid derby on Sunday. The 27-year-old Spain international collided heads with Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni in stoppage time, resulting in a 1-1 draw at the Metropolitano Stadium. Le Normand received immediate medical attention on the field,and Atletico Madrid later confirmed that he underwent a series of tests and evaluations by specialists.

The medical assessment revealed that he had suffered a traumatic brain injury accompanied by a subdural hematoma which is bleeding caused by a ruptured blood vessel near the brain.
