Guardiola, 53, has won 18 trophies with City including six Premier League titles and the historic 2022-23 Treble—Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.

Despite City’s current struggles including a rare four-match losing streak and trailing Premier League leaders Liverpool by five points, Guardiola remains committed. His contract was set to expire this season, and speculation about his future has been fueled by his statement that he felt “closer to leaving than staying” and the impending departure of City’s director of football, Txiki Begiristain.
