Roma dismissed head coach Ivan Juric after a 3-2 home loss to Bologna, marking the club’s third managerial change this season. Juric, 49, took over in September following Daniele de Rossi’s eight-month tenure which itself followed Jose Mourinho’s departure. Despite his prior success with Torino and Hellas Verona, Juric struggled to deliver results at Roma leading the team through just 12 games with four wins and five losses.

The club’s owners, The Friedkin Group expressed gratitude for Juric’s professionalism under challenging conditions and confirmed they had already started the search for a new head coach. “We thank Ivan Juric for his hard work these past weeks,” said the group, reportedly also in negotiations to acquire Premier League club Everton.

“He handled a difficult environment with the utmost professionalism and for that we are grateful. We have begun the search for a new head coach and expect to announce a decision in the coming days.” Reports suggest that former Italy and Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini, who recently stepped down as head coach of Saudi Arabia, leads the list of potential replacements.

With his experience and tactical expertise, Mancini offers a strong option as Roma look to regain stability and improve their performance. Currently, Roma sit in 12th place in Serie A well below their target of European qualification and struggle in the Europa League, sitting just one point above the elimination zone.

The turbulent start to the season, combined with a series of disappointing performances has intensified pressure on the club to appoint a capable leader who can reverse their fortunes. Roma view this next appointment as crucial to salvaging their season and restoring their competitiveness both domestically and in Europe.

Fans expect an official announcement about the new manager soon as Roma push to stabilize in a difficult season.
