Isack Hadjar Joins Racing Bulls for F1 2025
Isack Hadjar the 20-year-old French driver, has earned a promotion to Red Bull’s second Formula 1 team, Racing Bulls for the 2025 season. This announcement fills the final spot on the 20-car F1 grid for next year. Hadjar will race alongside Yuki Tsunoda replacing Liam Lawson, who the team moved to Red Bull after they decided to drop Sergio Perez.
Hadjar, who finished second in the 2024 Formula 2 season behind Gabriel Bortoleto has shown significant promise in his career securing this opportunity after an impressive run in junior single-seater racing. Team principal Laurent Mekies praised Hadjar’s remarkable growth and talent, expressing confidence that he will adapt quickly to F1 and make a strong impact alongside Tsunoda.
In his statement, Isack Hadjar reflected on his journey, noting that joining F1 marked the culmination of years of hard work. He acknowledged the challenge of racing at the highest level but expressed eagerness to learn and contribute to the team’s success. The announcement also signals a shift in the team’s branding.
The second Red Bull team previously referred to as RB will now officially carry the name Racing Bulls. Red Bull executives decided to adopt the full team name after initially abbreviating it due to the inclusion of a long title sponsor name.
Racing Bulls CEO Peter Bayer confirmed the name change, stating that the team would now fully embrace the “Racing Bulls” identity. The official FIA F1 2025 entry list reflects the change confirming the rebranding for the upcoming season.
