Aberdeen Announces Managerial Change Amidst League Position Concerns

Aberdeen has parted ways with manager Barry Robson after just nine months citing the team’s unacceptable position at eighth in the Scottish Premiership. The decision comes following a 1-1 draw against Dundee which was met with boos from Pittodrie.

Robson who initially took over as interim boss in January and signed a two years contract in May was unable to meet the high expectations set by the club. The departure includes assistant manager Steve Agnew. 

First team coach Peter Leven assisted by Scott Anderson will take temporary charge. Aberdeen Chairman David Cormack expressed the difficulty of the decision but emphasized the need for a change to refocus on the team’s ambitions for the season.
