Mohamed Salah, the captain of Egypt, left the field with a hamstring injury during a 2-2 draw against Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations. Salah, who appeared to suffer the injury just before halftime, was replaced by Mostafa Fathi. Despite the setback, Egypt fought back with goals from Omar Marmoush and Mostafa Mohamed. West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus and Emilio Nsue of Equatorial Guinea were notable performers in their respective matches.

In another game, Equatorial Guinea secured a 4-2 victory over Guinea-Bissau, with Nsue scoring a hat-trick. The first goal came from a poor clearance by Guinea-Bissau’s goalkeeper, and Nsue capitalized on the opportunity. Guinea-Bissau equalized with an own goal, but mistakes in the second half allowed Equatorial Guinea to regain the lead, and Nsue completed his hat-trick.

Nigeria secured a 1-0 win over Ivory Coast, with William Troost-Ekong converting a penalty. The result propelled Nigeria to four points in Group A, tying them with Equatorial Guinea, while Ivory Coast has three points with one game remaining.
