Ajax suffered a humiliating 6-0 defeat against archrivals Feyenoord in Rotterdam, marking a new low point in their season. Igor Paixao and Yankuba Minteh both scored twice, while David Hancko and Quinten Timber also found the net for Feyenoord. This loss represented Feyenoord largest-ever victory over Ajax and marked the first time in Ajax history that they failed to score in two matches against the reigning champions.

The match began with Brian Brobbey on the bench for Ajax who had recovered from a hamstring injury while Feyenoord was boosted by Bart Nieuwkoop late fitness test clearance. From the outset, Feyenoord dominated the game with multiple scoring opportunities. Despite Ajax attempts, they couldn’t find the back of the net ending the first half with zero shots on goal.

The second half saw Feyenoord extend their lead with Minteh second goal and Timber strike further adding to Ajax misery. The match concluded with a resounding 6-0 victory for Feyenoord sealing Ajax first-ever loss by a six goals margin.

This defeat compounded a tumultuous week for Ajax which included the suspension of General Manager Alex Kroes for alleged insider trading.
