Arrest Made Over Offensive Chants in Manchester United vs. Liverpool FA Cup Clash

One person was arrested by Greater Manchester Police following alleged offensive chanting during the FA Cup quarter-final match between Manchester United and Liverpool. Offensive songs were reportedly heard during United’s 4-3 victory over Liverpool at Old Trafford.

The police stated that such chanting crossed the line of acceptability and would not be tolerated promising robust action against offenders. The Football Association (FA) also strongly condemned any offensive chants emphasizing their determination to eradicate such behavior from football stadiums.

They pledged support to clubs and fans working to eliminate such conduct from the terraces.
