Arsenal Eye Real Sociedad Midfielder Martin Zubimendi for Summer Transfer

Reports suggest that Arsenal may pursue a summer transfer for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi as they look to strengthen their squad. While their main priority is signing a new striker, they are also considering recruiting a midfielder with Zubimendi identified as a top target.

Arsenal have maintained interest in Zubimendi for over a year, and although he has been loyal to Real Sociedad, he could be tempted to move on this summer. Arsenal may consider triggering his £51 million release clause, although negotiations are expected to start at a lower figure.

Zubimendi who has been with Real Sociedad for over 13 years has made 186 senior appearances for the club and has been capped five times for the Spanish national team. Additionally, Arsenal is monitoring Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz but his future may depend on Villa qualification for the Champions League under Unai Emery.
