Arsenal Set to Renew Pursuit of Douglas Luiz, Aston Villa Braces for Bid

Aston Villa is reportedly anticipating another bid from Arsenal for Douglas Luiz despite rejecting three previous offers. The 25 years old midfielder joined Villa from Manchester City in 2019 and has become a key player earning senior international recognition with Brazil.

Arsenal’s attempts to secure Luiz’s transfer in the summer of 2022 were unsuccessful and he later signed a long-term deal with Villa. However, recent reports suggest Arsenal is revisiting their interest in the Brazilian. Villa facing potential interest in several players may need to sell to fund new signings.

Jacob Ramsey and Boubacar Kamara are mentioned as players attracting interest. Luiz’s performance has also reportedly caught the attention of Barcelona’s sporting director. Currently, Villa is focused on securing a top four finish in the Premier League and progressing in the Europa Conference League.
