Arsenal training ground formerly known as London Colney has been renamed the Sobha Realty Training Centre in a historic sponsorship deal worth millions. This marks the first time in its 24 years history that the training ground has been sponsored. Sobha Realty a Dubai-based real estate developer has also become the official training kit sleeve partner for both the men’s and women’s Arsenal teams.
This agreement follows a previous partnership where Sobha secured naming rights to a match day hospitality suite at the Emirates Stadium. The move is part of Arsenal strategy to increase commercial revenue and close the gap with their Premier League rivals. Last season, Arsenal ranked behind clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea in terms of revenue.
The club’s chief commercial officer, Juliet Slot emphasized the mutual benefits of the partnership and the club’s commitment to sustainable growth. Arsenal sporting director, Edu expressed excitement about the agreement highlighting its potential to enhance the environment for players and staff. Sobha co-chairman, Ravi Menon expressed a desire to create a lasting impact beyond mere sponsorship.
