Investments in infrastructure, the academy, charity foundation and women’s football are deductible from the profit and sustainability figures. Villa reported increased revenue of £217.7 million in 2022-23 with notable player transfers including Diego Carlos and Philippe Coutinho.
Despite rising wage costs and managerial changes, the club achieved its best league finish in over a decade. Currently fourth in the Premier League, Villa is on track for a Champions League spot next season.
